Situated between the Waitemata and Manukau Harbours, Auckland, New Zealand is made up of a number of smaller cities.

Auckland City is at the heart of the area and it's here you'll find the stylish Viaduct Harbour and Princes Wharf development, Queen Street with it's many shops and arcades, the famous Sky Tower, Karangahape Road and Aotea Square.

Herne Bay, Waitakere City and Ponsonby, famous for it's fashionable cafe scene lie to the west and Parnell, with it's wooden villas, restaurants and boutiques is to the East.

Just across the harbour bridge or a 10 minute ferry trip away is North Shore City, where you'll find Takapuna and Devonport.

Travel south of Auckland City and you'll come to Manukau City and to the south east is the Auckland Domain, one of 22 parks in the Auckland region.

Heading out to the east from Auckland City is Tamaki Drive which passes by great swimming beaches such as Okahu Bay and Mission Bay and goes all the way to St Heliers Bay.

Take a ferry from Auckland and head out to one of the many beautiful islands of the Hauraki Gulf, including Great Barrier Island, Waiheke Island and Auckland's newest island, Rangitoto.
