Looking for things to do in Auckland ?
Auckland Museum is one of the top Auckland tourist attractions and is a great day out for the whole family that you must visit.
Situated in the Domain Park, the Auckland War Memorial Museum has great views across the city to Waitemata Harbour and Rangitoto Island.
There's loads to keep everybody happy and kids of all ages will love the Discovery centres where they get to interact with all the activities.

Auckland War Memorial Museum
They can actually see, smell and touch live animals and plants, watch bees in a glass hive, play with musical instruments from around the world, dress up and make as much noise as they want to - all in a safe environment !
The museum has many exciting exhibits covering New Zealand history, culture and the lifestyle of the Maori people.
There's plenty to discover in the museum, such as interesting facts about New Zealand's history and geography, the arts, crafts and New Zealand's unique animals.

It is also a war memorial remembering New Zealanders at war, from the Maori wars, through both world wars to more recent conflicts and the current role of New Zealand as peace keepers.
It's well worth taking the time to see the Maori culture show which runs three times a day and.....
after all that when you're feeling tired, take a seat in the Columbus Cafe in the Atrium for a great meal and a cuppa !

Museum Atrium
Open every day (from 10am to 5pm) except Christmas day and Anzacs morning, entrance is by donation at a suggested NZ$5- per adult.
